Algebra I
Course Description: A one credit high school course using Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1 Standard Version. Major topics include: exponents and powers, absolute value, radical expressions, multiplying and dividing monomials and polynomials, the FOIL method and factoring trinomials, linear and quadratic equations. The algebraic concepts covered will be applied to practical everyday uses and will also lay the groundwork for upper-level math skills.
Instructor: Stephanie Sisler
Mrs. Sisler has 9 years of high school classroom teaching experience. She desires to guide students into recognizing the value of Math through the use of logic and critical thinking skills. Her teaching style is energetic and fun. The subject of Math may be challenging, however with Mrs. Steph, it will not be boring!
Time: Tuesday and Thursday 2:00-3:30 (both days of attendance are required)
