Evangel Christian School Tutorial Information

The Evangel Tutorials Program is one of the academic advantages for homeschoolers at Evangel Christian School.  These classes are taught by qualified, experienced classroom instructors. 

These instructors have a limited amount of time with their students, so they spend every moment of class time instructing.  Evangel Tutorials instructors operate under the principle that the students in their class have, or are being taught to have, a sense of ownership and responsibility for their education. They regularly keep the students informed of their progress by email and through the prompt assessment of class assignments. As the ultimate responsible authority for a child’s education, it is up to the parent to obtain this progress information from the student, thus allowing for the necessary training and oversight the high school student requires to enrich and bless his/her life. 

ECS Tutorial classes are held on the campus of Evangel Church, PCA at 423 Thompson Road, Alabaster, Alabama and are open to all homeschoolers. However, Evangel Christian School students receive significant discounts to the Administrative/Facility Usage Fee. 

Enrollment for Classes

To enroll for any of the classes, simply contact the instructor directly to register for their class. 

The Tutorials Administrative/Facility Usage Fee for ECS students is $25/family. For students enrolled in other schools, the fee is $150/student. 

The Tutorials Administrative/Facility Usage Fee is due and payable by check, money order, or via PayPal, payable to ECS, on the first day of class. If paying by check or money order, please note “Tutorials Fee” in the memo. Cash will not be accepted. 

Without receipt of this payment, the instructor will not be able to admit your student into class. Late Enrollments will be assessed per student at a rate of $25/student. Late Enrollment fees are set after the first class meeting.

Payments for the classes will be assigned by the instructor and paid directly to the instructor.  

Conduct Standards & Tutorials Rules

All students enrolled in Evangel Tutorials classes agree to subject themselves willingly to Biblical principles, the Standards of Conduct of Evangel Christian School and Evangel Church, PCA, and any corresponding discipline, should these standards be violated. Furthermore, all students enrolled in Evangel Tutorials classes agree to abide by the Tutorial Rules and subject themselves to the discipline of Evangel Christian School should they be found non-compliant with these rules.
