The Lightning Scholarship
Since its inception in 2004, Evangel Christian School has awarded that senior student who has most clearly dedicated his or her time and efforts to the furtherance of the mission of Evangel Christian School, through service directly to the school. This award takes the form of the Lightning Scholarship, in the amount of $1500.
The Lightning Scholarship plaque reads as follows: “In recognition of your extensive contributions to Evangel Christian School through your selfless involvement in its endeavors. Throughout your time at Evangel Christian School, you have demonstrated humble leadership and unassailable Christian character. Furthermore, you have used the many gifts with which God has endowed you to promote the good of Evangel Christian School and the reputation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
