High School English Writing Composition

Time: Tuesdays, 10:30 – 11:30 AM
Course Description: A one (1)-credit high school course designed review the fundamentals of writing. Students will learn, practice and execute the three stages of the writing process through various formats, while integrating grammar. This course explores the power of the written word, while providing an avenue for creativity in a Biblical context.
Mrs. Lumpkin earned her bachelor’s degrees in English and journalism at the University of Alabama. Her early graduate degree work is in secondary education, and she is currently developing her studies in Christian Education. She has 23 years of teaching experience in grade levels first through twelfth grade. She delights in partnering with parents who have been called to home educate their children.
