High School Literary Analysis and Writing
Instructor: Catie Lumpkin
Annual Tuition: $400 ($200 per semester; $40 monthly)
Time: Wednesdays, 12:30 – 2 PM
Course Description: A one (1)-credit high school course designed to integrate literary analysis and writing. Together, we will read and analyze classic poetry, short stories and novels; subsequently, students will articulate their findings and connections in the written essay format. This is course is designed to empower students by teaching them essential critical analysis skills, while developing their abilities to effectively communicate through their writing.

Mrs. Lumpkin earned her Bachelor’s degrees in English and journalism at the University of Alabama. Her graduate degree work is in secondary education. She has 20 years of teaching experience in grade levels first through twelfth grade. She delights in partnering with parents who have been called to home educate their children.
